cory-booker-592x398U.S. Senator Cory Booker, who pledged last month that he is eating a vegan diet for the rest of the year, seems to be really digging his new lifestyle.

Booker, who was a vegetarian for the last twenty years, announced on Twitterin November that he was switching over to a plant-based diet for the remainder of 2014. At the time, he called the experience “eye-opening.”

Well, if the noted dog lover‘s Twitter feed is any indication of his diet’s success, it looks like Booker might be a vegan for the long haul. Booker’s constantly tweeting about the benefits of veganism as well as doing plenty of hat-tipping to plant-based businesses.

Earlier today, he posted pictures of his leafy lunch, giving a shout-out to Sweetgreen for providing his meatless meal. He’s also retweeted Our Hen House regarding their new TV show about veganism and animal rights. 25th and June, a vegan nail polish, plus countless other vegan businesses, have all received recent support from Booker on his Twitter account.

And it looks like Booker is not slowing down the vegan love, either. A self-described “coffee addict,” the senator admits he’s now adding soy or almond milk to his cup of joe in the mornings. And when it comes to that popular holiday beverage, egg nog? Booker says he “must try” coconut egg nog.

It certainly seems that Booker is really passionate about his new lifestyle, and we wouldn’t be surprised if his vegan diet continues past the new year.

Keep up the good work, Cory!
