Famed record producer (and the most-followed person on social media app Snapchat) DJ Khaled has completed his highly-publicized 22-day vegan challenge and is reportedly sticking to a plant-based diet. After adhering to the vegan 22 Days Nutrition plan popularized by recording artist Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z, Khaled reportedly lost nine pounds in his first week and regularly updates his Snapchat fans with several daily videos detailing his meals and workout routines, usually accompanied with the hashtag #veganalert. “Safe to say I’m doing more than 22 days,” People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals quoted Khaled as saying. And with the help of Khaled’s astronomical reach—more than six million followers on Snapchat and three million on Instagram—plant-based eating stands to gain even more momentum.
