January 1st is the start date of many resolutions around the world. One particular resolution has more than 10,000 people participating: going vegan for the month of January. This is the mission of the Veganuary campaign, and they hope that after a month of vegan eating, all participants will continue to live vegan.

Based in the UK, the Veganuary campaign draws not only participants from around the globe, but supporters, too. From food companies (nakd snacks) to animal sanctuaries (Edgar’s Mission, Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary) and non-profit advocacy groups (Mercy for Animals, Farm Animal Rights Movement) among others, there is a wealth of global encouragement to get people on the vegan path.
The Veganuary website serves as a one-stop shop of the whys and hows of veganism. They offer dining out tips, recipes, product info, and stories from seasoned vegans, both celebs and non. Twitter is already abuzz with people proudly proclaiming their commitment to a vegan month and encouraging others to join, too.
It’s not too late to jump on board! If you’re already vegan, feel free to chime in & help new pledgers on social media. If you’ve been wanting to try a vegan diet, pledge today! The animals, the planet, and your body will thank you.
